Robert Candler

Robert Candler is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering with joint appointments in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Bioengineering. Since September 1, 2023, he has served as the Associate Dean for Research and Physical Resources, overseeing critical infrastructure and research initiatives.

His work uniquely bridges electrical engineering with biomedical and aerospace applications, yielding translational innovations in nanoscale systems. Teaching excellence in electromagnetics and MEMS courses earned him dual industry teaching awards.
