Robert A. Weinstock is a Clinical Associate Professor of Law and Director of the Environmental Advocacy Center at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. He joined the faculty in 2022, leading clinical instruction and advocacy initiatives focused on environmental justice, energy law, and complex civil litigation. He is affiliated with the Paula M. Trienens Institute for Sustainability and Energy.

His research emphasizes environmental justice advocacy in Chicago, citizen-suit enforcement litigation, and energy policy in state utilities commissions. The Environmental Advocacy Center (EAC) under his leadership engages in cutting-edge environmental law cases and regulatory work.
Weinstock's publications address climate resilience through urban infrastructure, environmental justice in public housing, state EPA enforcement, and comparative energy legislation analysis. His work bridges legal theory with practical litigation strategies.
Prior appointments include Associate Clinical Professor and Clinical Fellow roles at the University of Chicago Law School, where he taught and practiced environmental law. He previously clerked for Judge Victor Marrero in the Southern District of New York and worked in litigation at Paul, Weiss and Barnes & Thornburg law firms.
