Robert A. MacDonald is the Stephen S. Steeves Chair in Business and Professor of Business Administration at Crandall University, serving as Business Faculty Coordinator since 2001. He holds a BA and BSc from Dalhousie University and an MBA from Saint Mary’s University. His research focuses on business case study development, integrating faith perspectives into business education, strategic management, and non-profit governance. He actively contributes to academic communities through editorial roles with the Case Research Journal and membership in organizations like NACRA and CBFA.
MacDonald has received numerous awards for teaching, service, and academic contributions, including the NACRA Special Award for Innovation in Case Writing (2021) and multiple Best Case Awards. His teaching portfolio includes courses such as Strategic Management, Organizational Behavior, and Christianity and Business.
Professional service includes consultancies with Apex Industries and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and editorial leadership roles since 2016. Current research explores non-profit strategic management and faith integration in business curricula.
