With over 30 years of professional experience in the foodservice industry and more than 20 years of teaching experience, he brings substantial real-world expertise to his academic role.

- BS in Restaurant Management from Bob Jones University
- AAS in Culinary Arts Management from Bob Jones University
Dr. Hansen's teaching focuses on practical culinary techniques and hospitality operations. His courses include Cuisine & Culture, Fine Dining Lab, Food & Beverage Cost Controls, and Principles of Food Production. His ongoing work at restaurants like Soby's New South Cuisine and The Lazy Goat keeps his instruction aligned with current industry trends while providing valuable networking opportunities for students.
