Ro Julia Robotham

Ro Julia Robotham is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Copenhagen's Faculty of Social Sciences. Her work focuses on cognitive and clinical neuropsychology, particularly in understanding visual information processing and developing assessment methods for individuals with brain injuries and neurological conditions.

Dr. Robotham holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Copenhagen (2019), a Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Copenhagen (2013), a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Copenhagen (2010), and another Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Lausanne (2008).

Her primary research interests focus on cognitive and clinical neuropsychology, with particular emphasis on how the brain processes visual information and how to assess visual perceptual deficits following brain injury. She has developed neuropsychological assessment methods for acquired brain injury and cerebral palsy, and she investigates critical perspectives on gender differences in brain and cognition. Dr. Robotham is deeply committed to improving the lives of individuals with neurological conditions through her research.

Dr. Robotham's recent publications show a strong focus on cerebral palsy research, visual perception deficits following stroke, and cognitive assessment methods. Her work spans both clinical applications and theoretical neuropsychology, with particular attention to translating research into practical tools for healthcare professionals across Denmark.

Dr. Robotham teaches at both Bachelor's and Master's levels, coordinating and teaching courses in neuropsychology, biological psychology, and visual perception. She also provides specialized training for healthcare professionals on cognitive assessment tools, particularly the Oxford Cognitive Screen.

Her external positions include previous roles as a Clinical Neuropsychologist at Copenhagen University Hospital - Rigshospitalet (2018-2019) and Rigshospitalet - Glostrup (2013-2015). She actively participates in professional conferences and collaborations, including the 14th Nordic Meeting in Neuropsychology (2021).
