Rick Page is a Professor and Associate Vice President for Research and Innovation at Miami University. His research focuses on protein quality control, protein-protein interactions, ubiquitination, chaperoned refolding, and membrane protein structure/function.
Education:
- B.S. in Biochemistry, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (2002)
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Florida State University (2008)
- Postdoctoral Fellow, Cleveland Clinic (2008-2013)
The Page Lab employs NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) to investigate the molecular mechanisms of the CHIP/Hsp70 protein quality control complex, protein-polymer bioconjugates for biocatalysis, and beta-lactamase enzymes involved in antibiotic resistance. Collaborations include the Konkolewicz Laboratory, Berberich Laboratory, Crowder Laboratory, and Tierney Laboratory.
Scientific Awards:
- National Institutes of Health Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award Postdoctoral Training Fellowship
- American Heart Association Postdoctoral Fellowship (2009-2011)
- American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship (2006-2008)
