Richard Parrish

Richard Parrish is a Professor of Sports Law and Associate Head of the School of Law & Criminal Justice at Edge Hill University. He directs the Centre for Sports Law Research and previously held the Jean Monnet Chair (2016-2019). His work focuses on EU sports law, policy development, and sport diplomacy. He advises EU institutions, national governments, and has contributed influential studies for the EU Commission.

• Policy implications of EU court rulings

Current Projects: Advising ministries in Kosovo, EU sport inclusion initiatives, and strategic sport diplomacy. Active in policy panels for Portuguese EU presidency and BeInclusive Sports Awards jury member.

Labs/Teams: Directs the Centre for Sports Law Research, a hub for interdisciplinary legal and policy analysis in global sport governance.
