Professor Richard Oram is a faculty member at the University of Stirling, holding the rank of Professor of Medieval and Environmental History in the Department of History, Faculty of Arts and Humanities. He holds a PhD from the University of St Andrews and has held administrative roles including Head of the School of Arts and Humanities (2005–2015) and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (2016–2021). His research focuses on environmental history, medieval Scotland, monastic landscapes, and the impact of climate change on resource use.
