Richard M. Capobianco is Professor of Philosophy at Stonehill College with expertise in continental philosophy, particularly Heidegger. He earned his B.A. from Hofstra University and M.A./Ph.D. from Boston College. His research explores existentialism, phenomenology, and philosophical hermeneutics through the lens of Heidegger's work.
Research interests focus on Heidegger's conception of Being, the relationship between philosophy and poetry, and the spiritual dimensions of existential thought. Publications examine Heidegger's engagement with Greek philosophy and mystical traditions.
Honored with multiple awards including teaching excellence recognition and national professorship distinctions. Directed the College's Honors Program for over a decade.
