Taylor Carman is a Professor of Philosophy at Barnard College, with a focus on 19th- and 20th-century European philosophy, particularly the works of Heidegger and Merleau-Ponty. His research explores phenomenology, existentialism, and the intersections of Continental and analytic traditions.
