Richard L. Possemato is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and Director of Admissions at the Vilcek Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences. He holds a PhD from Harvard University and completed postdoctoral training at the Whitehead Institute, MIT in Sabatini Lab.
His research focuses on identifying altered metabolic pathways in cancer cells, particularly investigating iron homeostasis, iron-sulfur cluster metabolism, and metabolic perturbations affecting nucleotide synthesis and DNA replication.
