Richard J. Hidary is an Associate Professor of Jewish History at Yeshiva University. He holds a Ph.D. in Hebrew and Judaic Studies from New York University, a B.A. from Yeshiva University, and rabbinic ordination from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and the Shehebar Sephardic Center (2000). His teaching spans Bible, Second Temple Jewish history, Dead Sea Scrolls, Talmud, Midrash, and Jewish ethics.
