Aaron Kahn is the Joel Jablonski Chair in Talmud and Codes at Yeshiva University's Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS), a position he has held since 1988. Ordained at RIETS in 1969, he earned the highest level of rabbinic ordination (Semikhah Yadin Yadin) from Rabbis Mendel Zaks and Moshe Duber Rivkin. For two decades, he studied closely with Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik, a leading Halakhic authority, serving as his assistant for ten years.
