Richard Fosu is a Lecturer in Politics & International Relations at Monash University. He holds a PhD in International Relations from Monash University (2023), focusing on local peacebuilding dynamics in Uganda. His research examines inclusive peacebuilding approaches, transitional justice, decolonial theory, and African Union policies. He leads a Monash Global Peace and Security (GPS) team investigating gender marginalization in UN peace operations, conducting fieldwork in South Sudan, Central African Republic, DRC, and the UK. Recently awarded a grant from the Australian Civil-Military Centre (ACMA), he explores gender inclusion in civil-military collaboration's impact on crisis response effectiveness.
Education: PhD in International Relations (Monash University 2023); prior work experience includes Ghanaian public service and policy consulting. Research collaborations span multiple African nations and the UK. His work aligns with UN SDGs related to peace, justice, and gender equality.
