Bilge Sahin is Assistant Professor in Conflict and Peace Studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam's International Institute of Social Studies. Her feminist research examines gendered dimensions of conflict, security governance, and peacebuilding processes.
Research focuses on Women, Peace and Security agenda implementation, refugee women's participation mechanisms, and feminist analysis of international interventions. Geographical expertise includes Eastern DRC, Rwanda, Kenya, Turkey, and MENA region.
Publications critically examine the gap between policy frameworks and on-the-ground realities in conflict settings, emphasizing participatory methodologies and civil society collaboration.
Current projects explore refugee participation frameworks in Turkey and transitional justice mechanisms in Northern Uganda.
