Richard E. Cornell is a Professor of Biblical Studies at Spring Arbor University, specializing in New Testament studies with particular focus on the Gospel of John and Revelation. He holds a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from the University of Aberdeen (2010) and an M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary (2002). Active in teaching Greek, Hebrew, and theology, he also explores intersections between literature and theology through courses on J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. His research examines early Christian interpretations of God's nature and eschatological themes.
