Abner Chou

Dr. Abner Chou serves as the President and Professor at The Master’s University, where he has held a faculty role since 2007. A graduate of TMU and The Master’s Seminary (TMS), he earned degrees in Biblical Languages, Exposition, M.Div., Th.M., and Th.D., with a focus on Old Testament studies.

His research and teaching emphasize God-centered biblical interpretation, doctrinal fidelity, and the integration of theology into education. He is dedicated to ensuring students engage Scripture as a profound revelation of God’s sovereignty.

Dr. Chou has received the John F. MacArthur Endowed Fellowship, recognizing his commitment to theological and academic excellence. He also spearheaded the B.A./M.Div. program and donor-funded scholarships like the Cornerstone Fund and Pastor-Teacher Scholarship.

He is actively involved in the Legacy Standard Bible translation as head translator for both testaments and is writing or editing books on Greek grammar, the Psalms, and David’s theology. His leadership at TMU includes strategic planning, accreditation, and fostering a Christ-centered educational mission.
