معرفی
Dr. Rich Nguyen is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Virginia, USA. During a two-month visit (May–July 2024) to Université Côte d’Azur's Laboratory of Electronics, Antennas, and Telecommunications (LEAT), he collaborated on optimizing scalable algorithms for large environmental datasets and advancing energy-efficient sensor technologies. His research focuses on IoT applications, data fusion, and disaster prediction systems such as FloodWatch.
- Roles: Visiting Scientist (Université Côte d’Azur), Advisory Committee Member (PhD program)
- Key Projects: Flood prediction models, rain sensor networks in Nice, data platform optimization
Research Interests: Leveraging IoT and remote sensing to address environmental challenges like floods, droughts, and wildfires. Collaborations include sensor network deployment and joint initiatives with Prof. Fabien Ferrero.
Grants & Funding: Supported by the RISE Academy during his collaborative stay. Future plans include disaster preparedness strategies with NGOs and government agencies, and potential long-term partnerships in water resource management.
Labs/Teams: Active collaboration with LEAT (Université Côte d’Azur) on sensor technology and data fusion techniques.
