Benoît Miramond is a full Professor at Université Côte d'Azur, affiliated with the Laboratory of Electronics, Antennas and Telecommunications (LEAT). He leads the Neuromorphic Engineering Group and the international ANR project SOMA (2018–2021), collaborating with INRIA, LORIA, and HESSO institutions. His research focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to developing energy-efficient AI systems inspired by neuroscience and cognitive science principles, targeting embedded autonomous applications.
His work bridges biological brain structures with adaptive hardware architectures, aiming to create novel self-organizing machine frameworks. The projects emphasize transitions from neural dynamics to cognitive network properties and neuromorphic circuit design.
