Riccardo Omodei Sale is a Full Professor of Private Law at the University of Verona, Department of Legal Sciences. He holds academic leadership roles, including membership in the PhD School Board and coordination of the European and International Law PhD program. His research focuses on contract law, property rights, inheritance law, and European legal harmonization. He has led over 20 research projects since 2001, addressing topics like digital service regulation, demographic change, and comparative legal frameworks.
He has been awarded the Premio Eccellenza Scientifica (2013), Premio Ladislao Mittner (2015), and Huésped de Honor from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (2015). His teaching spans undergraduate and graduate courses in contract law, private law, and European legal systems across multiple academic programs since 2001.
He actively participates in interdisciplinary research centers such as CeDiFam (family succession studies) and IUSTeC (law and technology research). His work bridges national legal systems with European directives, emphasizing practical applications for citizens and businesses.
