Rhiannon Mesler is an Assistant Professor in the Marketing Department at the Dhillon School of Business, University of Lethbridge (Calgary Campus), and a member of the Centre for Consumer and Social Well-Being. Her academic work spans journals like Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, and Journal of Consumer Research, supported by two Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada Insight Development grants (as Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator).

Her research focuses on consumer behavior, examining how psychological frameworks like construal level theory influence charitable giving, ethical consumption, and sustainability. She explores the interplay of money vs. time perception, message framing, and justice beliefs in consumer decision-making, bridging marketing, psychology, and social sciences.
Her publications highlight trends in prosocial consumerism, emphasizing ethical and sustainable practices. Key themes include behavioral economics, cognitive framing, and environmental responsibility, reflecting her interest in aligning consumer behavior with social well-being.

Dr. Mesler actively engages in community leadership, serving as Chair of the Government of Alberta's Power and Natural Gas Consumer Panel and previously on the United Way of Calgary and Area Board. She also contributes to charity effectiveness and youth mentorship through board roles. Her lab at meslerlab.org investigates consumer well-being and marketing ethics.
