Reza Tajaddini

A/Prof. Reza Tajaddini serves as Department Chair of Accounting, Economics and Finance at Swinburne University of Technology’s School of Business, Law and Entrepreneurship. He previously held roles including Deputy Department Chair (2022–2023) and leader of the Finance and Financial Planning disciplines (2016–2022). His research focuses on geopolitical economics, applied economics, cultural finance, and real estate investment. He joined Swinburne in 2013 after earning a PhD in Finance from the University of Otago, New Zealand, and holds an MBA from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a GradCert in Learning and Teaching from Swinburne.

Research interests span geopolitical finance dynamics, behavioral finance, and policy impacts on investment decisions. Over 77 publications include contributions to Journal of International Review of Finance and Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics.

Notable awards include the 2017 Australian Award for University Teaching (AAUT), multiple teaching excellence citations, and the 2024 Wiley Top Cited Article Award. He leads research grants addressing green finance, Vietnamese equity pricing, and international real estate market linkages.

Supervises PhD candidates exploring topics like green economy transitions, China’s corporate lending determinants, and the impact of early superannuation withdrawals on retirement outcomes. Actively involved in curriculum development for modern finance and accounting education programs.
