Dr. Reza Keihani is a Lecturer in Building and Environmental Engineering at the University of West London's School of Computing and Engineering. He holds a BEng from Islamic Azad University (2013), MSc from Coventry University (2018), and PhD from University of West London (2021). His research focuses on reinforced concrete structures, sustainable construction materials, and non-destructive testing techniques. He developed an innovative design for concrete frame connections and authored a UK construction industry guide. His work on polypropylene aggregate replacement earned a Best Paper Award (2019). He has professional experience in structural engineering across Iran and the UK, specializing in residential/commercial building design using diverse materials.
Research highlights include sustainable development of low-carbon concrete mixes and optimizing structural performance via design innovations. Collaborations include The Concrete Centre (UK) for industry-relevant solutions. He teaches courses ranging from foundation-level to doctoral programs in civil and structural engineering.
