Reinhard Gupfinger is a Senior Artist and Researcher at the Department of Fine Arts & Design, Mozarteum University, specializing in sculpture and sound art. He holds an MA and PhD from the University of Art and Design in Linz. His work explores intersections of sound, technology, and urban environments, focusing on reinterpreting sign systems and sonic landscapes through hybrid art forms.
Research interests include sculptural representations of soundscapes, urban acoustic interventions, and participatory public art. Notable exhibitions include 'Sound Shifting' (MUCA Munich) and 'Blind Date' (Nordico Linz), with installations featured globally from Graz to Barcelona.
