Reiko Ileleji is an Assistant Professor of Japanese and World Language Program Manager at Ball State University's College of Sciences and Humanities, Department of Modern Languages and Classics. She holds a Ph.D. in Foreign Language Education from Purdue University (2008) and an ESL graduate certificate (2004).

Research focuses on Heritage Language preservation, Problem-Based Learning methodologies, Cultural Identity formation in language acquisition, and Multicultural Education frameworks. Her work explores how language learning intersects with cross-cultural experiences, particularly through study abroad programs.
Teaching Experience spans diverse institutions including Clay Middle School, Indiana Japanese Language School, Purdue University, Miami University, and Jefferson High School. She currently teaches courses like Advanced Japanese 1 (JAPA 301.1) and Introduction to World Language Education (ML 150.1).
