Reginald S. Archer

Dr. Reginald S. Archer serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at Tennessee State University's College of Agriculture, specializing in geospatial technologies for environmental and disaster management applications since joining the faculty in 2015.

His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Geography from University of California Santa Barbara, M.S. in Civil & Coastal Engineering from University of Florida, and B.S. in Surveying and Mapping from University of Florida.

Research focuses on Spatial Analysis, Environmental Change, and Disaster Recovery through GIS and Remote Sensing applications. His work addresses critical issues including wetland vulnerability, urbanization impacts, and vector-borne disease monitoring across diverse geographical contexts from post-Katrina New Orleans to Haiti and Tunisia.
