Themistoklis Kontos

Themistoklis Kontos is a Researcher affiliated with the Department of Environmental Studies at the University of the Aegean. His research focuses on applying Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to environmental challenges, including landfill siting, spatial planning, and renewable energy optimization. He has been collaborating with the WML research group since 1997 and is a registered PhD candidate since 1998, with his thesis addressing Spatial Decision Support Systems for landfill siting. His work integrates multi-criteria analysis methods and stochastic modeling to address environmental and urban challenges.
