Regina Jucks

Prof. Regina Jucks is a Professor of Social Psychological Foundations of Education and Teaching at the University of Münster’s Institute for Psychology in Education and Teaching. She has held this position since September 2009 and has been the Scientific Director of the Center for University Teaching (ZHL) since October 2011. Her academic journey includes a Diploma in Psychology (1997), a Doctorate (2001), and Habilitation (2005), all from the University of Münster. Prior to her current role, she was a Research Associate at the Institute of Psychology (1997–2008) and a Professor of Educational Psychology at Goethe University Frankfurt (2008–2009).

Her research focuses on communication and interaction in educational contexts, particularly digitalization and higher education. Key projects include co-leading the DFG Research Training Group on Trust and Communication in a Digitalized World (2012–2021) and managing the German subproject of the EU Horizon 2020 DIALLS initiative (2018–2021). Her work bridges social psychology, educational technology, and science communication.

Publications span peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes, addressing topics like trust in AI systems, climate change communication, and teacher education. She has advised numerous research projects and collaborates internationally. Her teaching includes seminars on cooperative learning, argumentation, and digital media in education.

Prof. Jucks is actively involved in fostering teaching excellence through her role at the ZHL, promoting innovative pedagogical practices and evidence-based teaching strategies. She has contributed to policy and professional development in higher education, emphasizing the integration of communication research into educational practice.
