Rebecca Woodhouse is a Research Fellow at the University of York, affiliated with the Mental Health and Addiction Research Group and the Translational, Stress and Psychosomatic Research Theme. Since 2013, she has focused on work-stress, mental health interventions, and delirium prevention, particularly in palliative care settings. Her current projects include the EMPOWER e-health platform and the BASIL+ trial addressing social isolation in older adults.
- Education: MSc in Applied Health Research (2017), University of York; BSc in Forensic Psychology.
Research Interests span mental health interventions, behavioral activation, delirium screening tools, and e-health platforms for workplace wellbeing. She investigates how behavioral interventions can mitigate depression and loneliness in older populations during global crises like the pandemic.
Recent Publications include high-impact clinical trials in The Lancet Healthy Longevity and BMJ Open, focusing on behavioral activation protocols for mental health resilience. Her work is part of a broader effort to address mental health multimorbidity in aging populations.
