Dr Rebecca Upton serves as a Post-Doctoral Researcher for the Ecological Citizens project at Wrexham University and a Senior Lecturer in Sustainability and Behavioural, Social and System Change at the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT).
She completed her PhD at Anglia Ruskin University's Global Sustainability Institute, researching radical pedagogic practices at Cornwall's Eden Project to examine transformative impacts of sustainable ecological education.

Her work champions imaginative, embodied teaching approaches that disrupt conventional learning paradigms to foster systemic transformation. Current research with the Ecological Citizens project investigates citizen engagement in environmental stewardship, leveraging her extensive background in charity sector operations and large-scale event management.
