Rebecca Boni is an Assistant Professor at Oakland University's School of Nursing, specializing in adult-gerontological clinical oncology care. Her clinical expertise includes acute oncology, hematology, and stem cell transplant populations. She earned her BSN (2005), MSN (2013), and PhD in Nursing (2019) from Michigan State University and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, respectively. Dr. Boni leads research on oncology nurses’ professional quality of life, chemotherapy safety, and telehealth applications in nursing practice.
Her research has generated tools like the Oncology Nurses’ Professional Quality of Life Questionnaire (ON-PQOL) and explored telehealth’s role in nursing education and clinical care. Key awards include the Jonas Scholar Foundation Award and the Yaffa Dahan Nursing Dissertation Award. She has secured grants totaling over $40,000 for projects addressing nurse well-being and telehealth integration.
Dr. Boni serves on the Oncology Nursing Certification Board’s Test Development Committee and holds leadership roles in Sigma Theta Tau and the Oncology Nursing Society. Her professional affiliations include the Midwest Nursing Research Society and the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists.
