Sharon Ruthenberg is a Special Lecturer (currently part-time) in the School of Nursing at Oakland University. She holds a DNP in Leadership/Maternal Child Health from Jacksonville University (2019) and has extensive clinical experience in community health, skills lab instruction, and health assessment. Her academic roles include teaching in BSN, RN/BSN, and ASD programs, with prior positions at Rochester College and Baker College. Professional affiliations include Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Research focuses on maternal-child health and community health, including her DNP project on prenatal care for women with unplanned pregnancies. She has presented this work to Oakland University nursing faculty.
