معرفی
Dr. Rebecca Beveridge is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Strathclyde's Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry, affiliated with the Faculty of Science. She holds a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship and was a Chancellor's Fellow since 2020. Her academic journey includes a BSc in Biochemistry/Chemistry from the University of Leeds (2011) and a PhD from the University of Manchester (2015). She completed postdoctoral research at the Institute for Molecular Pathology in Vienna as a Lise Meitner Fellow.
Her research focuses on developing native ion mobility mass spectrometry methods to study challenging protein systems, such as intrinsically disordered proteins and PROTAC complexes. Key projects include understanding protein degradation mechanisms and drug interactions. Beveridge has led multiple grants, including the MRC-funded 'Understanding Intrinsically Disordered Proteins' (2024–2027) and EPSRC-supported PhD projects like DTP 2224 (2023–2027).
Publications span advanced mass spectrometry applications, including drug efficacy studies (e.g., EPI-001 on androgen receptors) and antimicrobial agent development (S-MGBs). Awards include UKRI Future Leaders Fellow and Lise Meitner Fellowships. Her lab actively collaborates on projects involving protein dynamics, molecular glues, and bi-specific antibody engagement mechanisms.
