Rebecca Barnett

Dr. Rebecca Barnett serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University, where she also holds the position of Child and Adolescent Undergraduate Education Coordinator. She provides full-time clinical services at Children's Hospital across multiple care settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, consult liaison services, and emergency psychiatric care.

Her educational qualifications include:

• Undergraduate degree from McGill University
• Medical degree, psychiatry residency, and child and adolescent psychiatry subspecialty training at Western University

Dr. Barnett's clinical and academic focus centers on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with specialized expertise in adolescent eating disorders. Her work bridges clinical practice and medical education, contributing to the development of future psychiatrists through undergraduate teaching responsibilities and hands-on patient care.

As a key member of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry division, she collaborates within multidisciplinary teams at Children's Hospital to deliver comprehensive mental health services for pediatric patients throughout Southwestern Ontario, integrating her subspecialty training into both direct patient care and educational programming.
