Dr. Michelle Ngo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Western University's Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. She practices full-time as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at the LHSC Children’s Hospital ambulatory Child and Adolescent Mental Health Care Program, where she specializes in early intervention for mood and anxiety disorders among transitional-age youth.
Education
- BSc in Biochemistry and BEd in Secondary School Education from the University of British Columbia
- MD and FRCPC from Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University
- Residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training at Western University
- Additional Training: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Diploma and Online Addiction Medicine Diploma
Clinical Expertise
Dr. Ngo integrates evidence-based psychotherapies into her practice, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing techniques for adolescent populations.
Educational Leadership
She serves as Program Director for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Subspecialty Residency Program and is a member of the national Education Committee for the Canadian Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists. She actively supervises medical students, psychiatry residents, and subspecialty trainees in clinical rotations.
