Nina McCurdy is an Assistant Professor at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, specializing in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She completed her medical degree and residency at Western University after earning a Bachelor of Arts and Science with a major in Cognitive Science at McGill University. Dr. McCurdy serves as the Child & Adolescent Outpatient Services Physician Clinical Lead since 2020 and coordinates PGY3 rotations in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She is also the Competency by Design lead for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Subspecialty Program, demonstrating her commitment to advancing medical education in child mental health.

Her research and clinical work focus on mood and anxiety disorders in children and youth, with a strong emphasis on curriculum development and competency-based training for medical students and residents.
Dr. McCurdy actively contributes to administrative leadership in child and adolescent mental health care and education, partnering with Kristen Henderson-Love (kristen.henderson-love@lhsc.on.ca) and other collaborators to enhance psychiatric training programs.
