Rasim Serdar Kurdoğlu is an Assistant Professor at Bilkent University's Faculty of Business Administration. His academic qualifications include a Ph.D. from the University of Leicester School of Business (2018), an MSc in Engineering Management/Industrial Engineering from Middle East Technical University, an MSc (Distinction) in Management and International Business from Nottingham Business School, an MBA from Yeditepe University, and a BSc in Economics from Hacettepe University. Prior to academia, he accumulated 10 years of professional experience in banking and the national defense industries.
His research focuses on moral and strategic reasoning, heuristic decision-making, and entrepreneurial cognition, integrating cognitive psychology, decision sciences, and ethics. Key themes include how reasoning and argumentation influence managerial and entrepreneurial decisions under uncertainty.
His publications emphasize decision-making under extreme uncertainty, moral heuristics, and the dynamics of eristic reasoning. Collaborations with scholars like Gunes Islam, Nesibe Y. Ates, and David A. Lerner highlight interdisciplinary approaches to understanding managerial legitimacy and ethical dilemmas.
Rasim's work has been featured in journals such as the Journal of Management Studies, Behavioral and Brain Sciences, and Journal of Business Ethics. His research bridges theoretical frameworks with practical managerial challenges, offering insights into organizational behavior and strategic adaptation.
