Randy Schwartz serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A nationally recognized public health professional with over 30 years of experience, he specializes in implementing health promotion and disease prevention initiatives across state health departments and voluntary health organizations.
His research focuses on chronic disease prevention and control, with deep expertise in tobacco control interventions and policy integration. Schwartz has directed comprehensive programs across community, worksite, healthcare, and public policy settings, notably developing Maine's tobacco control framework and leading the National Cancer Institute-funded Maine ASSIST Program.
