Randall Stetson

Randall Stetson is Lecturer and Advisement Coordinator in Human Development at SUNY Oswego, with over 20 years of clinical social work experience. Bilingual and specializing in immigrant mental health, his research examines neighborhood-level social determinants of mental health outcomes in disadvantaged communities.

Education includes:

• Ph.D. in Social Welfare from SUNY Albany
• MSW with Child Welfare Concentration from Syracuse University
• BA in Sociology from SUNY Oswego

Research investigates coping strategies in high-crime neighborhoods and their impact on mental health, particularly among immigrant populations. Recent publications focus on job stress measurement and task-centered intervention models. Actively involved in NASW committees including the Central Division Steering Committee and PACE Committee.
