Randall Jackson is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at McMaster University, with a focus on Indigenous health and HIV/AIDS research. His work emphasizes resilience among Indigenous communities living with HIV, challenging pathologizing narratives through community-based methodologies. He co-leads the Feast Centre for Indigenous STBBI Research, a $4.8M initiative prioritizing self-determination in health research.
Education: B.A. (Sociology, University of Ottawa), M.A. (Sociology, University of Manitoba), PhD (Social Work, McMaster University).
Research Interests: Indigenous health equity, aging with HIV, gender/sexuality in healthcare, and decolonizing research practices. His studies explore intersections of culture, mental health, and physical well-being, particularly among Two-Spirit, trans, and gender-diverse populations.
