Kaitlin Debicki is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English & Cultural Studies at McMaster University. They use they/them pronouns. Their work focuses on Indigenous literatures, cultural studies, and environmental conservation, with a particular interest in Two Spirit and trans Indigenous writings.
Recent publications include:
- Sagoyewatha and Metonymic Being (2020), analyzing Indigenous identity and land-centred citizenship in Eighteenth-Century Fiction.
- Returning to the Kaswentah River (2015), exploring trans-Indigenous perspectives in Thomas King's Studies in Canadian Literature.
Debicki teaches courses on Indigenous futurisms, settler colonialism, and gender studies, including the upcoming graduate course Future is Indigiqueer: Two Spirit and Trans Writings from Indigenous North America (2025).
