Ranae Jabri is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the School of Economics at the University of Sydney. She holds a PhD in Economics from Duke University (2022), a Master of Legal Studies from the University of Chicago Law School, and a B.A. in Economics-Mathematics from Columbia University. Her research focuses on public economics, labour economics, law and economics, and the economics of crime.

Dr. Jabri’s work bridges economic theory and policy analysis, particularly in areas such as taxation, labor market regulations, and the intersection of legal frameworks with economic outcomes. She previously served as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research (2022–2023).
