Rana Bazzi

Rana Bazzi is an Assistant Professor at the University of Franche-Comté, affiliated with the Chrono-environment laboratory (UMR 6249 CNRS/UFC). Her research develops multifunctional nanoparticles (e.g., iron oxide/gold hybrids) for biomedical applications, particularly image-guided cancer therapy.

Research Interests:
Her work spans nanomaterial synthesis, characterization, and applications in oncology. Key areas include:

• Design of theranostic nanoparticles combining diagnostics and therapeutics
• Magnetic/fluorescent nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery
• Photothermal therapy and radiation-enhanced treatments

She leads interdisciplinary projects funded by EUR EIPHI-Intherapi and ANR PRC:

• CIMES: Targeting glioblastomas via in vivo click chemistry
• nanoHyMPI: Atherosclerosis treatment using magnetoplasmonic nanoflowers
