Ramón Pujol Nadal

Ramón Pujol Nadal is a Full Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), serving as Deputy Director of the Higher Polytechnic School and Academic Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Industrial and Automatic Electronic Engineering. He holds a PhD in Physics from UIB and has over 15 years of teaching experience, supervising three PhD theses and over 30 student projects.

His research focuses on medium-concentration solar thermal energy and perovskite solar cells. He has authored 24 JCR-indexed articles, delivered 40 conference contributions, and co-invented two international patents. He leads five competitive research projects and developed the open-source software OTSun for solar system optical analysis.

He actively participates in international committees (IEA, IEC, AENOR) and the Balearic Government’s Energy Transition Expert Committee. His teaching includes subjects like Hydraulic Machines, Renewable Energies, and Practical Placements across undergraduate and master’s programs.
