Rami Zalfou is a researcher at Lund University, affiliated with the Department of Economic History, Centre for Advanced Middle Eastern Studies (CMES), and MECW: The Middle East in the Contemporary World. His research focuses on historical and contemporary migration waves from Syria and Lebanon, analyzing migrant self-selection, labor market integration, and the long-term impacts of conflict and economic crises on migrant populations.
