Rajnikant M. Amin

Dr. Rajnikant M. Amin is an Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) with significant leadership roles as Division Director of Community Pathology within the UPMC Department of Pathology and Chairman of the Department of Pathology at UPMC Passavant. With a medical degree from Baroda Medical College (1980), Dr. Amin has maintained continuous scholarly activity for nearly four decades.

Dr. Amin's research spans multiple medical domains with recent publications (2019-2024) focusing on orthopedic surgery outcomes, while his earlier work (1990s) concentrated on gynecologic pathology, cytopathology, and cancer diagnostics. His clinical expertise centers on general surgical and clinical pathology with subspecialty interests in gynecologic and breast pathology and cytopathology.

His publication history demonstrates significant interdisciplinary collaboration across orthopedics, oncology, rheumatology, and veterinary medicine. The most recent publications show continued scholarly activity with work on African swine fever, hip fracture surgical outcomes, and knee arthroplasty.
