Dr. Rahat Shabir is a Research Fellow and Soil Microbiologist at Griffith University’s School of Environment and Science, affiliated with the Australian Rivers Institute. He joined Griffith University in 2023, holding roles since December 2023. His research focuses on developing eco-friendly microbial carriers (e.g., biochars, biopolymers) to enhance soil nitrogen fixation under environmental stresses. He holds a PhD in Agriculture (2023) and M.Sc. degrees in Environmental Sciences (2016) and Botany (2008) from Griffith University and Pakistani institutions.
