Rachel Heah is a Lecturer in Law (Teaching & Research) at Lancaster University's Law School, part of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. She holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Liverpool (2014) and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2015. A non-practising barrister and member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, her research focuses on children's rights to education, particularly sexuality education in secondary schools from a children's rights perspective. She also engages in animal law and family law studies.

Her teaching responsibilities include Criminal Law and Family Law modules. Current research projects explore decolonisation in legal education and pedagogical methods like flipped classrooms combined with problem-based or case-based learning. She is affiliated with the Centre for Child and Family Justice Research.
Rachel supervises PhD projects related to children's rights, family law, socio-legal studies, and empirical research methodologies.
