Rachel Bollaert

Rachel Bollaert, PhD, is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Marquette University. She joined the institution in 2018 and is affiliated with the Program in Exercise Science. Her role includes teaching courses such as Personal Health and Wellness, Exercise Testing and Prescription, and Health Behavior Electives.

Dr. Bollaert holds a B.S. in Integrative Physiology from the University of Iowa (2012) and a Ph.D. in Kinesiology & Community Health from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2017). She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science & Technology at UIUC.

Her research focuses on promoting physical activity among veterans and examining neurobiological and behavioral links between physical activity, mindfulness, and PTSD. Professional affiliations include the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
