Amanda Marie Bireline

Amanda Marie Bireline is an Assistant Professor in the Health Science department at Mercy University's School of Health and Natural Sciences since 2021. She teaches courses across

• Exercise Science
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
• Health Science programs

and serves as faculty advisor for the Exercise Science Club.

Teaching Focus:

• Anatomy & Physiology (Health Science)
• Kinesiology & Biomechanics (DPT)
• Research Methods, Sport & Exercise Nutrition, Exercise Prescription for Special Populations (Exercise Science)

Current Research examines how wearable technology and social environments can enhance motivation for daily physical activity to improve quality of life. She also leads the Title V ACCESS Grant initiative for Anatomy & Physiology instruction and oversees both lecture and lab components.
